So, I've finally caved and started doing "Let's Play" style videos. I've been wanting to do this kind of thing for a long time now, where Connor and I play a video game, record it, and put it up on YouTube, but we could never find the right game (or the right, cheap software to do it with). But now we've found both.
We're starting a series of videos called the "We Are" videos, where, in essence, we transplant versions of ourselves and our friends into video games. This will most likely be done with RPG genre games, such as the one we're starting with, but we'll see where it goes.
In short, Connor and I have started playing the game Darkest Dungeon, which, if you pay attention to any of my lists on this websites of what I'm reading, watching, playing, etc...you may know that I've already been playing. In the game, which is a Gothic RPG with amazing art and intriguing turn-based gameplay, all of the characters are alternate versions of us or our friends. Fun and hilarity ensue after that point.
I've enclosed the first video below, which you can check out if you'd like. It's our first attempt at something like this, so we're still ironing out the kinks, but it was fun to play and put together, so I'm sure you'll be seeing more. I think (partially because I really need to get back to regularly posting on this blog) that I'll be uploading a new Darkest Dungeon video every other Friday. But we'll see what happens.
